DEVELOPMENT - Contact established and Interview organised.

Many changes to our proposed idea have occurred this week.

Hannah and I are lucky enough to receive an internship with a feature film, meaning that we're going to be away for 6 weeks at a time. Having worked out what little time we have together (just 10 days) we have decided to conduct our company report on one of our internship companies, Wellington Films.

The changes to our schedules means that we need to change the original timetable that we'd put together. As it is going to be tricky to ensure everything is done on time to our best ability we have arranged a meeting with Issie for tomorrow (Monday), to talk things through and work out the best strategy.

The weekly meeting was spent deciding upon what approach we should take to this module given the changes in our circumstances. We weighed up each Intern company, Wellington Films and The Bureau, so that we could decide upon the basis for the report.

The Bureau, although a big company, have a smaller company which they hire outside people for many of the jobs. This is the company that Hannah is going to be placed with and we came to the conclusion that as they are a branch of off the company it may not provide us with enough resources.

Wellington Films are an East Midlands based company with 11 years of experience. This history allows us to provide an sufficient report with aspirations for the future; therefore making them the correct choice for this module.

We contacted the Producer of Wellington Films, Rachel Robey, outlining what the report would cover and what we would need from them. She responded very positively saying she was willing to help and participate. We have also arranged an interview for when I disembark upon my internship.

As we have now established a contact and interview, we began to write a company bio - however very draft.

Tomorrow is going to be spent doing any secondary research possible into the company and the film market, so that we can gain a basis of the report before Hannah leaves a week tomorrow.

AIM - Clear idea of company and direction needed. Correct contact research.

The proposed companies for this module are:
-BBC's Little Howard's Big Question
-Astley Baker Davies (Who creates Peppa Pig)

The aim for this concluding week is to have a clear idea of which company this case study will explore; alongside the direction needed.

We also aim to research the correct contacts' for our needed outcome, which will be completed in a weeks time.

At such an early point in the module development, now would be a good time to outline our time management and produce a schedule.

From the module guide there are areas that are required; therefore we shall outline these, however, many more may arise which will be updated as necessary.

After deliberation, we have allocated thursdays' and a tuesday evening for this module. Alongside the timetabled tutorial, which at the moment stands at a Wednesday morning.
